Absence Notes:
If your child is absent for any reason, the school needs to be notified using ONE of the options listed below:
Report the absence using the School Messenger App is the PREFERRED method. Absences can be reported the day they occur or in advance. Information submitted to the app is transferred manually to eSchool, please allow up to 5 days for processing.
Email [email protected]
Send a handwritten note to the Main Office the day your child returns to school.
Early Dismissal:
Please use SafeArrival in the School Messenger app to enter all early dismissals as early as possible or send your child on the day of the dismissal with a handwritten note to Main Office.
Remember to bring your license with you to sign in when picking up a student for early dismissal.
Late Students:
Doors open at 7:25am. Students should arrive by 7:45am so they have time to go to their locker. If students arrive after 7:55am they are late and must come to the main office and sign in before going to their locker.
Parents/guardians DO NOT need to sign students in- students sign themselves in.
After 5 unexcused tardies, your child will receive a detention for each additional late arrival until they have been on time consistently for 8 weeks.
If your child arrives at school after 8:52 AM, they will be marked absent for first period and you will receive an absence notification. Phone calls are made based on attendance taken during first period.
If your child has an appointment during the school day, please submit a note from that office to our Main Office.
Vacations:
The Vacation form can be picked up in the main office, guidance office or by clicking here.
After filling out the form, your child will need each teacher to sign off before bringing it to the Guidance Office for approval.
Vacations can be taken all at once or individually.
A MAX of 5 days per school year is allowed and each time will require a new form.
Vacations REQUIRE an approved vacation form to be an excused absence.
